Founded Clinic

Grace Family Health Center P.C. Practice, founded by Dr. Johnny Ray Trotter M.D., F.A.C.P., Senior, began serving the Detroit Community in 1979 on Detroit’s West Side (West Seven Mile Road and Myers).

Helping Community

Dr. Trotter Senior was presented the Semmes Award which honored residents that demonstrated extraordinary concern in the care for patients and genuine interest for patients and family. Through his practice, Dr. Trotter Senior did home visits for the elderly, disabled and for those who were not physically able to come to the office. He was an active Board member of Chris Webber's Faithful Stewart Foundation. Dr. Trotter Senior was a member of the National Medical Association and the Detroit Medical Society. He was recognized in Who's Who in the Midwest for demonstrating outstanding achievement and contributing significantly to the betterment of society. He instilled these values in his children and he demonstrated these values throughout his life. Dr. Trotter Senior was known for his compassion and his true concern for others. He gave many motivational speeches to children of all ages in numerous schools around the city of Detroit which helped to inspire these children to live and achieve their dreams.

Northland Medical Building

In 1996, Grace Family Health Center P.C. expanded to its present location at the Northland Medical Building, 20905 Greenfield Suite 303, Southfield MI 48075.

Passing the torch...

In 2007, Grace Family Health Center P.C. was passed down to Dr. Trotter Senior’s son, Dr. John R. Trotter II, M.D., F.A.C.G.S.

Advanced Therapeutic Medical Services

In 2008, Grace Family Health Center P.C., expanded to its second location, Advanced Therapeutic Medical Services PLLC, located at 4910 Cadieux, Detroit, MI 48224

Recent Expansion

In 2010, Grace Family Health Center P.C., expanded to it third location, St. Joseph Medical Center P.C., located at 17950 Woodward, Detroit, MI 48203
